Sanctuaire's marked improvement is mainly down to the way Nicholls has changed his training, which is what he told the public after Sandown I think. Id have SS about 10lbs ahead, but not on soft ground. |

Re: Sanctuaire or Sprinter Sacre? Also Sprinter got a poor ride in the supreme, he committed way to soon and was outstayed by al ferof, i think this point was proven with al ferof in the arkle this year

"It would be hard to envisage Sprinter Sacre getting beat but the way Sanctuaire coped with Sandown, a stern test of jumping, in the Celebration Chase would hopefully mean we have got someone to serve it up to him" I know Nicholls thinks that Sanctuaire has improved a lot since last season and is expecting big things from the horse this time round. For me, I think Sprinter is top class and I still remember the times Sanctuaire let me down last season, but it could be interesting if Sanctuaire has improved as much as PN believes he has. |

Re: Sanctuaire or Sprinter Sacre? Id surprised if tomorrow is as easy as you lot seem to expect. The figure posted at Sandown was huge. Dont get me wrong SS's figures at Newbury were the best in a long time but Sanctuaire is top class.
Personally Id rather take 5/2 Sanctuaire tomorrow. Come Cheltenham Id still want to be with SS still but with the ground and a small field, 5/2 is a fair price. |

Nicholls says he's at prime fitness, and even though sometimes I disagree with what he says, when he says he has a horse ready take his word for it.
