Hoping in the Sussex he really opens the taps. Shame it's not a straight course. I think on the basis of that he would beat BC over any distance they were going a good pace and he was cantering when they were flat to the boards, and he still didn't open him up fully, and on softish ground 11 lengths clear he was 0.69 seconds outside the course record. To put it into perspective, he's rated over 10lb higher than her. Also, check out the official frankel website, has videos of all his races including the legendary maiden with nathaniel that also contained one of the runners in the ascot gold cup colour vision, that you can't see anywhere else. To watch te maiden you have to go onto race record and click on the maiden.

Outside the course record? So other horses have gone faster?

Also has black caviar ever broken the course record? No. And she won't have ever got that close on soft ground hacking up 11 lengths clear either.

Doesn't go out to break track records. Before she ran 55.53 in this years lightning her fastest over 1000m was 56.63 in her debut as a 2yo. And if she won a group level sprint race by 11 lengths I think my head would explode

But does frankel go out to break track records either? I was just disputing atlanticjewels point that because it wasn't a track record it wasn't a good performance, which clearly it was.

Yeah I know, I was just saying she doesn't go for them. Obviously it was a great performance, he destroyed the bloody field. Imagine the price he's going to command per serve at stud

Awesome performance yet again, one of the greats for sure if not the greatest.

I'm a bit biased towards Queally because he won me a rather large amount of money when guiding My Arch to victory with one of the greatest rides I've ever seen. He has his bad races, every jockey does, but he has only really messed up once on the St James Palace and that was part of the learning process. I watched it from the stands with a great panoramic view, he went too early and Frankel was green, idled and on the tacky ground that meant Zoffany and co were hugely flattered by the winning margin. He won with loads in hand. You’re right though, he’d win with me on top (inc. 3 stone penalty!).

My hypothetical future plan for frankel- arc, champion, BC sprint dirt., with possibly a prep race for the arc
