Post Kingman or Toormore
I have always been a Toormore fan but after seeing kingmans win yesterday I would like to start the debate for the next 2000 guineas winner. Sorry I think Australia is a Derby horse.

My opinion on the Guineas

Its building up to be a great renewal potentially one of the best in modern times

Kingman
Alot of rubbish said about this horse since the turn of the year word was out that he had not trained on
Utter twaddle visually impressive visually brilliant yesterday he has the 3yo form in the bag was very
impressed with him his time (Which means little) 1m 26.95s (slow by 3.95s) but traveled very strongly
I think he is a serious player looks a very speedy type and Australia has plenty on his plate.

Toormore
Undoubtedly and undeniably an exceptional 2yo has serious form in the book put away Giovanni Boldini & Sudirman
away in style in the National stakes at the Curragh The best his sire has produced to date was Dick Turpin
On Breeding he would not jump off the page at you i am against him to be honest next week is a big test for him

Australia
Never seen Aidan so confident about a horse i was down there last weekend and the confidence behind
Australia at Ballydoyle is huge i fancy him alot more for the Derby no doubt this will be the biggest hurdle
in his triple crown attempt if he puts Kingman & Toormore away he will be an exceptional horse i do
wish that A.O.B would take a leaf out of John Gosdens book and let the horse do the talking
he clearly is ultra confident about him but has left him self open to huge flack from punters and the media
if his best ever goes down I Know Australia is incredibly well thught of at Ballydoyle i have spoken to many
connections at Ballydoyle & Coolmore about him and they think he is a Machine with what i saw yesterday
he will have to be to beat Kingman at Kingmans ideal distance it will be a huge task but i am keeping the faith in him

A lot will happen between now and the Guineas. The weather being one thing. More trials next week and after will be a better time to discuss. Hannon must roughly know where he is.

Do Ballydoyle consider Australia a better hope in the guineas than War Command PJ?

Considering War Command is not going to the Guineas unless Aus has a set back Yes

Aidan O'brien said yesterday that both Australia and War Command are being trained for Newmarket?

He said the same in March he said he would be preparing both for the Guineas BUT
the 2 would definitely not face each other at the Guineas i have not heard any change of plans
but I was told in January both would run and be the teams only runners
i think plans are made day by day you can take anything said to the media with a pinch of salt
Geoffrey Chaucer was a cert to run in Ballysax then he defects & now he could start at a mile in french guineas
i would put my house on him running in the derrinstown rather than in france
these horses evolve every day and plans will naturally change
Probably the weakest aspect of Coolmore/Ballydoyle/O'Brien operation is lack of info and lack of solid info
They have made efforts in past 18 months to improve that but still could be a whole lot better
for instance it was me who gave Matt Chapman the names of the 2yo working on the gallops yesterday
which he read out live on air coolmore gave ATR a list of the breeding with no names eg. War front x blading gold ring

Also i think anyone would be impressed by Kingman
but if Australia was your best ever a few weeks back and was your number one
choice for the guineas why put War Command back in off the back of Kingmans performance
it would hardly show confidence in Australia as far as i no the plans are the same as a month ago

After seeing the reaction of the market, I think it does look like punters are backing off of Australia and realizing the hype perhaps got to them a bit. Australia had not done enough to hold such a short price and know the market has started to base itself on form.

If Toormore does the business on Thursday he will go second favourite and Australia will drift out even further.
personally with no 3yo form Australia would only be an ew bet for me.

Kingman vs toormore for me can't be answered until thursday, it's hard to know how he's trained on and even then we don't know how each will progress for the run. However for me I'm not having any of this Australia rubbish, he's said the same thing about different horses seemingly every year for the past few years(st nic, Camelot etc.), and the horse hasn't really got any form we've seen to be making those claims, kingman has proved that he has trained on and toormore has proven g1 form but Australia doesn't have anything.

Well think Aidan would know what it takes to win a guineas he has won 6 of them and the pre Guineas hype around Camelot
at the time proved to be right he did win the Guineas Ubar and St Nic turned out to be totally useless too only the 2nd highest earning
European Racehorse ever and voted as Aidans best ever in my website vote a few months back.

Sorry Ubar you are so one sighted you prove this time & time
thats your opinion you are entitled to it

This is not a reaction to your comments on Australia i agree with you completely he has it all to prove

The reason I disagree with AOBs use of the term 'best ever' is because it's so blatantly just marketing talk. Ok, he had a little bit more grounding on the comments with st nic, Camelot, but I couldn't say that they're any better than Galileo, rock of Gibraltar, high chaparral, duke of marmalade, Dylan Thomas, declaration of war etc. Yes, he can say the horse is the best he's trained all he likes but for the number of times we've seen an obrien horse win the guineas how many times have we seen an overhyped one not win, and not even feature? One cool cat, mars, hold that tiger etc.

I don see how disagreeing with your opinion and expressing my own makes me one sighted anyway?

Based on the history of your comments Ubar not just based on your recent comment
your comments over past 2 years on Black Caviar Australia/USA/Irish racing in fact you are negative or Dont
rate any racing outside of England etc, thats your opinion and you are entitled to it/them but to me looks a bit
one sighted closed minded anti anything out side of England but this is going over old ground we will leave it there
no harm buddy

I was hugely impressed with Kingamn he seems incredibly speedy looks to have the pace to win
a July Cup

We all know that Kingman is going to win the Guineas; Toormore, although I'm looking forward to seeing him on Thursday, isn't in the same class bracket and both Australia and Kingston Hill do not possess the speed to trouble the Gosden charge.
