Pulpit is brimming with class with this dosage profile - Pulpit DP = 15-13-23-1-0 (52) DI = 3.16 CD = 0.81

52 total points is unreal. The Chef de Races in his lineage are. . .

What are people thinking of the Pulpit line? We now have California Chrome and his grand sire's son Mr. Speaker, who just won the Belmont Derby. I don't really get to follow a lot of the breeding in horse racing, but it seems like the line must have something there. Pulpit didn't ever get to race much, but showed some pretty good potential, given the fact that he went unraced at 2 years old leads me to believe he was a late bloomer and just wasn't ready, he was having a decent 3 yo campaign until his injury. If he was a late bloomer he may have done even better in his 4 year old campaign, this is a bit of speculation from someone who isn't an expert, and wouldn't dare call oneself even mediocre at predicting these kinds of things. I wouldn't mention Chrome or Speaker in the same breath as any of the "greats" but Chrome is an exceptional horse, nothing along the lines of history's finest, but the best US 3 yo this year, which is something. Speaker won a $1,250,000 race which proves he is no slouch, could be a fluke though. Curious on if anybody else thinks the line will produce anything else notable? Maybe California Chrome wasn't such a fluke after all, but the AP Indy is finally showing through?

I think Chrome's got some competition, Shared Belief won well yesterday and is more than good enough to give him a race. Then there's untapable who's very good. And if he gets past those 3yo's will he be good enough to give the Mighty Malice a race.

A odd sort of race, not sure what's his best distance . Minorette was impressive in the oaks.

Also speaking of US racing, anybody have a clue as to what happened to Wired Bryan? He was a good 2 yo and then he just vanished, never to be seen again.

I forget all about him, missing in action.

Well I'm happy my Baby Stopshoppingdebbie won again last night. Hopefully will take on the big girls later this season.
