Post Flawed 2YO Ratings!
Image

Just to show how flawed the 2yo ratings are, this horse was rated 130 after finishing 14th in the golden slipper??? The winner was rated 109!!

Have you seen it's jump rating too! 149/151. That's very impressive for a 2yo who will have never raced over any kind of obstacle!!

Didn't someone buy a horse which had the form of another horse in SO3? Possibly SO4, maybe this has happened with this horse...

Don't know if it was caused by this but if you use a horses.dat file which has the same name twice, the form of the two horses meld together appearing on both horses form/rating screens. (providing they exist in the game at the same time.)

This 2yo rating issue is a real pain at the moment. All or most International feature races for 2yo's seem to give massively inflated ratings. In one season, at the end of it, I have 17 2yo's with a rating of 130 listed in the top horses list.

Totally agree with that DB, the horse I posted at the beginning of this thread actually went on to hack up in a 6F G1, only to finish last in his next race, but his rating never wavered from 130??

I think the cause for this comes from the fact that foreign 2yo's seem to start with ratings, ratings which are 100+ even up to ones like 125 so foreign feature races for 2yo's have fields which ratings wise rival the Arc and as long as a horse can stay with them they themselves then get rated to match, leaving hosts of 2yo's 120+.
I think if the foreign 2yo's got ratings say between 70 and 80 to start with instead of these huge numbers, the issue wouldn't be so bad and you wouldn't get 110+ rating after 1 run, let alone 130.
