I thought you meant in the game.
I backed Mon Mome 40/1 two years ago when getting badly hampered just as he was coming into things. Yet annoyingly I forgot all about that for last years race but he has had a couple of nice runs this season, jumps well and should go pretty close in his defense.
Hard to ignore the chances of Comply or Die after that awesome performance to get 2nd last year and a I've always felt New Alco wanted more of stamina test and if his comeback run goes well, he could be one at a biggish price.
25/1, 28/1 and 66/1 at the moment.

Think he does mean the game if not Black Apalachi. Was jumping beautifully last year before departing last year.

If you mean the game, then look for a solid stayer with a great jumping record and ability.
If you mean the real thing, I was impressed with Whinstone Boy in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran. Very surprised that the runner up, Hangover, isn't declared, as he finished very strongly and looked like a true staying trip would be his ideal range.

Possol for me. I knew this would be a National horse one day after watching its runs last season. Has been in fantastic form so far this season over the smaller obstacles and is only hurdling to protect his chasing handicap mark for the big one. Will stay the trip and obviously the National was always the target for this season.
