Anyone had problems with yearlings going missing after end of jumps season?

I just had 20 yearlings and only 11 were promoted to my stable as 2yo's even though I only had 66 horses in my 100 capacity stable. I skipped a whole season to double check and then only 15 of 24 yearlings appeared as 2yo's.

Yes this has been happening the whole time the game has been out. Although I haven't ever noticed any going missing. But I usually forget how many horses I had. I thought it was intentional and they would come back at 3, which would be good, but it doesn't seem to be. It's really annoying because I've totally lost track of my breeding because I don't get the horses and I've decided to start again. It definitely needs looking at, it was mentioned a lot when the game came out but not a lot since. Hopefully there might be an easy fix for it.
