i have this super stayer that has won 4 melbournes in a row. Should i breed him now, or keep him going, i'm quite attached to him now

You could race him for another season or two and then send him to the breeding barn and cover as many mares as possible each season.
Most offspring will be useless but hopefully you should get some good ones as well, maybe even better than him.

I'd keep racing him see how many melbourne cups you can win with him, have fun with him and retire to stud when he loosing his form.
