It may sound exaggerated, but it really is a dream coming true. As a child my two elder brothers and I, we used a horse race board game in our own way... with own stables, horses, handicapping system etc.
As a young boy, I always wished, that something would be invented, that would record our races and transfer them into a real race replay on the TV screen
I could never have imagined, that we, my brothers and I, at the ages of 51/49/39 are now coming together sometimes for familly meetings to play SO3, still with those after-race discussions and argumentations, that we are used to from the real race-course visits.
Mark, thank you very much, and if you ever intend to visit my home town İstanbul, I would be your guide for free (a day at the races incl. of course ), because it really is like a childhood fantasy becoming real.
Thx
If I knew the exact date of release, I would open the first door of my advent calendar 24 days before the big day (or should I better say that I would have opened it 24 days before )

It's difficult to describe my feelings concerning the SO4 relaese.
I'm sure that most of us would celebrate it with a firework which would beat the New Year celebrations of Syndey, London and New York by a distance, if there wasn't a slight "monetary insufficiency"... also because of the real life races

Just one thing i noticed about the screenshots regarding the horses form figures. Only 1,2,3,4 and 0 shown. No 5,6,7,8 and 9? Maybe it was deliberate at the time of posting, i dont know. Just thought i would point it out.

Actually Colm, when I started thinking about how to improve bends I realised that when tracking the fields from the outside the scrolling needs to both speed up AND reverse when the field hit the corner. Sounds weird until you think about it.
This is a brilliant addition. From the video, I can't believe how well it works in the Irish National. I guess the more stuff there is in the background, the better it looks. Amazing perspective for 2D.

I hadn't noticed this - very well spotted! Hopefully this is something that can be sorted before the game is released.

Maybe the horses had only been 1,2,3,4 or 0th?! He he, it is a possibility!

Wifes? Mine is going to leave me when SO4 is released. Still, I probably won't notice her and the kids going to her mother's. I'll be far to busy playing SO4. I can't wait. Great work on the graphics by the way.
