Hi guys, since its national hunt season and that i've been trying seriously to get into that version of the game. i have transferred across about 15/20 flat bred g1 winning horses. However, i find they seem to struggle a bit like fergusons horses in real life ![]() Win their novice races easy and then when it comes to a challenge they weaken? or they may dominate the novice game and then struggle when in open company? I know there could be an issue with the quality of horses bred, but whats the best way to succeed in the NH game? I also find, as they were initially flat bred, at 7/8 they are on the decline! i suppose this is quite like real life (other than the fly ![]() |

Try breeding your flat horses with in game horses it then helps keep the flat potential while picking up a few of the jumps traits. Other than that auctions. That's what I'm doing had some good horses and some not so good just got to keep with it |

I think this game is a bit different to So5 because flat horses seemed able to be jump horses in that game but it seem's a little harder in this game. |

Flat horses may not stay too well. They tend to be ok at shorter distances over the jumps (if they get around) but may not progress. Flat horses will usually have very low jumping stats and/or tend to race keenly. This does not apply to all. Check the stats. |

I will have to delve more in to this. at this moment, the majority of my horses that are "2milers" need further and end up 2m4 horses, which proves awkward as there aren't many high class 2m4 races other than aintree. I am looking forward to getting further into the NH breeding a bit like the flat game, however it takes a lot longer for them to see a race track! thanks for all the advice! |

U bred that out of them, 2m horses will end up being 2milers. Are u on patch 1001 if so it might be because the game has got harder. |

Dont over race them when they are first introduced.Keep their campaigns very low key then try then slightly higher grade in their second or third season. |
