Stick to the rules folks - 10+ length debut winner It's fine really but I have mentioned before I snobbily look down on ratings achieved debuting in a Group race. A maiden debut high rating is more impressive. As for your 139 Gray and Paul's 140 a while back - there wasn't a DQ'd winner and a pulled up horse in the race too was there? Or maybe just a pulled up horse? The game has a 2yo rating bug when both or possibly one of things happen. |

hmm it seems I never did post any 'rules'. Well when I started this my rule in my mind was to win by 10+ lengths in a debut ~ preferably in a maiden. If you win a debut by 10+ lengths in a group race that would be a feat. |

Now here's a true debut. In a MAIDEN. 117 in January. Almost a 10 length victory. 9.8 will do... |

You'd think that 117 would be the highest rated 2yo in my game that early in the year but noooo... Here is a classic example of the 2yo rating bug that exists in the game that was addressed at one point but has been back for ages now. An astronomical rating is given to a horse who wins via the DQ. The DQ'd winner is placed last - behind a horse who has pulled up. The AI seems to think beaten lengths equals an impressive performance. The top image is the list of the highest rated 2yo's in game. Note almost of the horses in the bugged race are ahead of my beast. The second image is the racecard of the bugged race. Please fix this dopey bug |

Ok, not quite as beasty as the other stand out horses here but Achiever is the highest rate 2yo I've ever bred or bought from an auction. I hope he lives up to his potential. |

I agree, Ghost! From his breeding, I doubt he'll get 2000m - both Sire and Dam were very good over a mile and I expect the same again. I've got quite a few broodmares so I'll be looking to bump up speed and burst plus battling qualities and constitution - and hope for the best lol |
