After 27 seasons of trying to breed a Grand National winner (had a third and a fourth) .... mistakenly bought a 9-y-o Gelding at the Thursday Sales .... thought it was a mare!!! ..Eye test next week. Rather than sell it on I ran the horse over 4 miles and finished third ... with a comment did not have the pace for most of the race. I entered the horse in the National and it WON by 4 lengths .... my own bred horse FELL. So never give up ..... mistakes pay.... |
