Post Using the gallops to asses 2 year olds
Hi all

I was wondering if using the gallops at home is an accurate way of measuring a 2 year olds ability before they see the race track, is the fact you cant do a full gallop a problem in simple training mode as maybe the results don't reflect the horses ability's accurately, also would a horse far inferior of the 2 year stretch out and really show the difference in class between them or will he only ever finish a couple lengths ahead.

If there is anyone who uses the gallops as a way of assessing there unraced 2 year olds successfully id love to hear how you do it and what you look for when deciding to give them a chance on the track or selling them before there reputation is ruined.

Many thanks
Sam Kirwan
