Post Jockey Mode
Hi,

Does anyone have a picture explaining the Jockey Controls and what they mean.

I haven't played the game for over a year and also want to give the jockey mode a go

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Cannot help with that one as I play as a trainer/breeder. There is a help element that has been added to the game, but not sure how useful it is.

I play with a x box controller much easier than keyboards.

OK - to jump from the gates - press enter and up arrow at the same time.
To use whip hit control repeatedly in quick succession.
To push forward or steer left and right - use the four arrows on your keyboard.

To jump I can't remember - I will need to play it again, so I will get back to you later today.

Press Ctrl to start or you could do nothing and the horse will jump from the gate automatically anyway.
Use the arrow keys to steer left and right, push you horse forward or restrain it.
Use Ctrl to jump.
Press Ctrl repeatedly to use the whip but don't do this when approaching a hurdle or fence as you will take off too early and fall.
Press Z to look left and X to look right. Keep either button pressed and you will look behind.

Hi,

Thank you for all of your comments, they are working perfectly.

The only part I am still struggling now is with the bars next to the "arrow" showing what position your horse is suited to and why does a horse shoe keep appearing.
I get positioned really well, just having nothing left at the end

Thanks

you need to watch your bars Speed Bar Light Green try and keep it on the line going across if your above it your horse is going to fast which affects your horses potential bar Dark right bar you need this bar as high as you can for the finish and the higher it is the better your horses potential is in a finish.

Hi, are you talking about the 5 vertical arrows, similar to soldiers ranks; One will be black and the other 4 white.
The black one indicates the horses preferred racing style for the first 3/4 of the race.
I.E. If the top bar is black the horse likes to lead, if the bottom bar is black the horse likes to be held up at the rear, in the middle is even pace. If you are in the wrong position the white circle will turn progressively red and drain the horses energy.
