Post Jockey Shoutouts
Hi, can’t see much on here about the above

New to SO but I selected the jockey shoutouts option when loaded my game, only a few races in but do these supersede the in paddock jockey instructions? Do they work or is it a gimmic? Do many of you play with them on? Not sure when to click the relevant go for it button and wonder if I leave it to the jockey will he do his own thing and try and win or is he waiting on my comman?

If anybody can elaborate on this feature and it’s uses would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Are you riding your horses or in trainer/owner mode?

Trainer/Owner mode

The four buttons appear when I’m watching a race and it appears I have the option to instruct the jockey to go now, no whip, go early or go late.
Not sure if I have to use these or if indeed they work?

Thanks in adavce

I enabled shoutouts out of curiosity, tried them a couple of times and never used them again.
As far as ive seen if you dont press them the jockey will still ride to paddock instructions or do his best if no paddock instructions were given.
I think unless you give the shoutouts early (before say 400mtrs before the post) the jockey has already decided what he is going to do.
The position instructions (hold up, even, handy) make the biggest difference, the jockey tends to know best when to "go".
Personally i rarely give any paddock instructions unless the horse has a habit of wanting to lead or i am racing a distance that doesnt quite suit its stats.
