This game is trash. I'm out.

Wow. That came out of nowhere and was totally uncalled for. Either apologize or don't come back.

I'll second that, totally out of order :(

I vote keep posting.

I can see how someone could get bent out of shape if they felt like they needed to compete with you. But that is an odd idea in a single player game And SO7 as of this post isn't league ready. And competition should be fun, not a grumpy thing. He's seems like he is being a bad sport, in a competition that only exists in his head. Which is quite sad really.

It is interesting reading your experiences, esp. since I haven't gotten to testing the breeding heavily in SO7 yet. First I got distracted reskinning the horses again. Then the UK combined and US flat schedules, which are what I tend to play, have had some bugs. So I paused the UK Combo (only flat jockeys available for fences LOL), and the US games benefited from restarts with a couple recent bug fixes. I'm not as familiar with the UK flat schedule; I play combo there as I was used to timber racing in the US (chases there) and hunter paces. The US breeders usually race those horses on the flat first, as there is no NH thing here. So it the combo schedule feels comfy even if the races aren't the same. And also then the game tells me that my horse's issue is that turf is for eating not running on. ;)

I'm trying to decide if I shouldn't study the UK flat schedules more and start a UK flat only game, as that one seems stable enough that I won't need to pause or restart it. Then I can sloooowly (I'm slow not like you PJ!) make some headway into checking out the breeding end of the game in SO7. Maybe I'll ask for help.

Keep the Screenshots coming PJ gives us regulars something to look upto and try to achieve what you do. You obviously put in the hours and have a formula that works for you, if others get jealous by that then its their issue.

OMG Paul how have you managed to get them bars so high already, I am struggling with SO7 and getting a little bored of it as I can't get anywhere!!!! Please tell me if I persevere it will happen or shall I start a game again and hope to find some decent gamebreds???

Post subject:  Re: Breeding diary

it takes time you have to concentrate on one bar at a time and you need gamebreds

so if you have something with max speed and something else with max potential you need to breed over
a few generations until one of the offspring has maxed both then you work with another bar next like cruising
burst. and so on. it aint easy

So unlike in SO6 where we had ttf files, am I correct in assuming you then breed the offspring to one of the parents until you get the desired bars?

there are ttf files in SO7 which can be backed up but the usage of them in SO7 is different

Hi all.

Looking for a bit of advice. I’ve got a UK game going at the minute and I’m 9 seasons in. I kept hold of one of my starter horses - a 2yo and it turned into a group 1 horse and has produced group 1 winners. But I want to increase the potential bars of its offspring. They seem at the moment to have the same level of potential as there father. Can anyone offer advice?

You need to get as many females out of him as possible and get them covered by game stallions a different sire for each daughter and
hope one of the covering sire has high potential its the only way to do it unless you buy in a sire with high potential.
