I keep buying horses for a lot of money that turn out to be very low in potential. Is there anything in particular I need to look out for when buying new horses to stop me being burnt?

In my view from SO6 auctions we’re a waste of time and money, my limited time in SO7 has done nothing change that view, so in answer to your question multiple g1 wins only and even then prepare to be disappointed.

bought 1000s of 2yo and have to agree only found 1 outstanding 2YO
I had better luck buying unraced 3YO who go for between 200,000 to 800,000
found some gems there

I'm sure I read some where of Mark that the longer the game goes on the better the horses will get, has anyone played like 50 seasons and have noticed horses getting better bars. I might have dreamt than one up :lol:

Are 2 and 3 year old horses with low to medium level of potential worth keeping? And how low should the potential ability be before I sell?
