I usually run the Combo schedule and play a jumps game really, only using the flat races for testing, development or off season cash. But I'm thinking of starting a UK flat only game in SO7 beta to check out breeding sooner.
What do I need to know? I'm only vaguely familiar with the big flat races only in the UK, and my starter horses won't be in any of them.
Are there typical feeder tracks?
And reading the BHA page https://www.britishhorseracing.com/press_releases/bha-to-trial-new-approach-to-flat-novice-and-maiden-race-programme-for-two-year-olds/: the baby Novice races are just Maiden's .. err for winners? Makes sense the way they describe it. So Maiden -> Novice -> (Handicap or Listed) progression?
What are the things I need to know that I am not even smart enough to ask for flat progression in the UK?
