Post subject:  Speed figures / rating - starting the discussion

I’m curious to know how speed figures are made (in the game, that is. I understand that most are euro or AU based. I’m US based and could take for days about figure making).

Some questions of mine are (in this game):

Are they capped at handicap races?

Why do the form ratings and declaration book / auction show different ratings?

I’m assuming they are impacted by class and going? Anyone confirm?

What is the max? Based on last games I’d guess 140?

How are they correlated the the performance graph ? How do these differ?

Which should I rely on more? Graph or rating?

Is ground loss taken into affect? If so, I assume starting ability matters more than I thought it did? I just didn’t think the game was that in-depth.

What goes into a horse finishing 5th and getting the highest rating in the race? I don’t fully get this. It seems that when a horse is beaten by 5, he gets the high figure. If that’s the case, which would imply a bad trip, then why don’t I get a head on?!?!? (That last part is a joke, for y’all US folks).

Thanks.
