I did search the forum but a lot of questions seem to relate to so6. I may be getting a laptop, budget is tight and whilst I see the minimum graphics card listed my knowledge is limited on the names of them. Would a AMD Vega 8 be sufficient enough to run on the lowest setting? Cheers |

Integrated video mostly struggles to run SO6/SO7. Generaly a video benchmark of 6000 or greater is recommended. That hardware is rated 1700 but it should run the game fine on low settings. The advice is to run the game and turn the game settings to high. Make sure you are running in a lower resolution (1080 is often too high) and turn realistic weather OFF and crowds to NORMAL (not animated). Restart and see if the game plays ok like this. If not turn other options off and try again. It could be some of the more detailed courses struggle on these settings. |

Mattza, this website allows you to compare two GPUs, so you could put the recommended GPU in on one side and then the GPU for any laptop you are looking at: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/. I have heard the Acer Aspire Nitro 5 with the GTX1050 is a good budget gaming laptop or there is a subreddit called SuggestALaptop that is made for recommending laptops to people based on budget and what games you want to play. |
