What do people generally do training wise with 2yos they dont run in the first half of the season? Wasn't sure whether I am better getting some heavy training into it or to leave it not doing much at all?

I leave mine well alone. I try to race them though a few times even if they are better over greater distances...cause it gives them a lower handicap rating so when they are ready for their distances they get a nice easy first few runs

I'll give them one run early season in a 6 or 7f maiden. Most won't cope with it, but you might get some useful info from the jockey to guide you, with regards to blinkers, etc.

Those that do run well, will give you some idea, where you might place them later in the season, if there's any spots to suit.
