Post League Dates and maybe a Extension
hi, as l member coming back to the league and also the staff im bit dissapointed that i have seen 2 or 3 posts saying the date of march 6th means they would not be able to play. i would like to think we are aiming this at existing and New players so if a couple of existing players who know how to play the game cant do this date how many new players to the game and site are we losing??? Would it be posiible i know it means a lot of emails to staff but i certainly can do it and maybe put the league date back to april. As i say that will give both new and old players roughly 2 months if they have just purchased the game recently. To be fair l have had game since release date but due to patches have not really played for league horses till bout 2 weeks ago. Only a question but a worthy one l think

Another player posted the same concerns

Here's the response I gave them:

The main problem with leaving it any later to start than the first week in March, is that the end of the season could start to collide with the peak holiday season. We could hit problems with staff availability, trainers disappearing, etc. If it came to it, we would pause the season, but that may or may not, knock us a back a few weeks. If we had to put the season on hold for too long, we wouldn't be able to fit a second season in this year. The second season can't start any later than the 3rd week in August really, otherwise, we get too close to Christmas.

If enough trainers come on the forum and say, put the dates back and let's run only one season this year, then we'll organise that.

We try to when possible. Sometimes, we've made the decision to go with one when requested, or necessary, for various reasons.

You don't need to have your full stable ready for the start of the season there are unload windows during the season, Last season Crazyboy joined well into the season and finished 8th in the UK flat trainers championship. Join in mate you'll love it.

TBH, people can upload horses throughout the season, so newbies can join at regular intervals, delaying the start of the season only means we can race one season this year rather than two, common sense tells me that two seasons is far better than one for all concerned.

I brought the game upon release and only just started to play last month as the patches came out and made it more stable, everyones in the same boat mate, like i said we can upgrade our horses in the upload windows throughout the season and if we start on the proposed date of March then we can get another season in this year.

Yes same as me mate and as l say l have no problems but thought that new players should have a voice. I have had the game from release and feel l have 1 or 2 decent horses worth entering for little races and l know what im doing, so for new players who have only had game few weeks and have posted that they didnt even know there was a league or what exporting meant. So its ok for players who have played for few seasons and want to have a 2 season game but just joining the league is enough for some newbies and getting used to it. I can see if we did it at this date that they would all get pretty fed up of losing as they have no time to play before hand and then not even bother entering 2nd season so numbers would drop anyway. I remember the very first season we did and that was a big learning curve for me with only 1 group win and rest rubbish so just thinking of that. As l say people didnt even know league existed but maybe thats a different discussion about 2 forums but just think we would have less numbers than by leaving it a few weeks thats all
