I would ignore times. This is just my opinion. Your best horse is your best horse regardless of the times it does. Times can mislead many.

If you want further help mate. Add me on msn messenger. Its jasonpaulburke@hotmail.co.uk. I will give you all the help you need on there.

Yup i made the mistake of trying to follow best times, but as jay said your best horse is your best horse so don't sweat the times to much, just upload your best and see how you do, no-one knows the standard of the league untill it starts and with how many seasons a few people have managed so far it could be a very high standard.

Need to start getting a few more seasons in within the next month me thinks.

Get MSN installed mate and add me. Easier than posing message after message on here.

Hopefully if you add jay he'd explain it better, but lets take your best 5f sprinters race them over various grounds at different goings and just note down the most consistant male/female performer over each distance and enter those. If you have certain races in mind in the league you'd like to win perhaps you could replicate the race and see which is your best and upload for that specific race.

Thats just a quicky Jay will be much more helpful, good luck pal.

The real beauty about heading into a new season with a new game is, nobody knows where they stand. There will be a few trainers dissappointed, new trainers and experienced trainers alike, and several will be pleasantly surprised.

Whatever you stable does, the main thing to remember is, it's all a bit of fun, so enjoy it. It can be a slight shock for a new trainer, in particular, when first joining the league, as the standard is higher than your home game. Either way, learn from your experiences, ask plenty of questions, stick with it, and you'll get better. We've all been in the same position at least once in our league playing career and can understand what you are going through. Just because a trainer is competing against you, doesn't mean they won't answer your questions or not help you.

Couldn't agree more. Good post Colm.

Haha i doubt i'll be setting the online league alight with my horses but if i can manage to beat you in a few races that'll be a great achievement for myself. Actually winning a few open races and i'll be happy.

Indeed well said Colm, to be honest my first season i kinda thought i'd do better then i did, alot mainly because of the first week and grabbing a few places but after that it was downhill for awhile but i learned from the first upload window and managed to upload much better the next window and managed to grab a few wins. I lost my files after that but with the help from Jay i started from scratch uploaded a few new horses didn't manage to win any big races but i was placed in a few group races which to me was a great achievement.

I am hoping to improve on last year but as stated it's a new game no-one knows what to expect just yet, all the best though.
