Post How many foals can you have in the breeding barn?
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

Does anyone know the maximum number of foals you can breed per season or more to the point, how many end up in your stable as 2YOs?

I think previous versions of SO restricted it to 30 and if you bred more than that then the nasty computer trainers got them (and they always turned out better!!)

Thanks

I'm not aware there is a limit if there is i'd imagine it'd be 100 like the limit of the barn? Did SO previously restrict to 30? i can't remember, either way it doesn't this version as i'm chruning out about 55ish now, :( i know to many losing a few each year but i can't help putting new horses in my barn they seem to be improving every year and i don't think we can retire them from the barn this time can we?

Yes, you can. Select the horse in the barn that's not currently paired up and you will see a little retire box appear. Tick this and they will retire from the barn at the end of the season.

Thanks but I have clicked on the name and nothing seems to happen. Is it something to do with its age? you can't name it until it becomes a certain age?

You don't name them as yearlings. You have to wait until they reach 2yo and enter your stable. Then you can click on their names and rename them.
