Hi New to SO4. How do you take the reins and jump, etc. Is there some place you can see this info? Please advise. Thanks |

What exactly are you stuck on with it? I always do this with mine but I can't get the hang of jumping. Do you need help with how to choose the option or how to actually do it? |

Hi I have not played since SO2 Not sure what to do when I select "take the reins" and how to operate jumping or even moving forward when the screen comes up. May sound easy to regular players but I cant see guidelines for this. Am I mssing something? Any help/info for a novice will be appreciated. Thanks |

Yeah it's in the Instruction manual. Which you'll find the the Start menu (in windows) in the SO4 folder. Under section 4.2.5.1 There are two ways to do it in SO4. The arcade mode where you use the keys to control the horse and ctrl to jump/ start(I think) or the old way which was always used in the SO games which is using the mouse/mouse pad and clicking to start. Using this way the horse jumps by itself but you have to push it into or slow it into jumps dependant on how close the horse is to the fence. Although compared to a real horse the instructions are the wrong way around. A HORSE WHO IS ON A SHORT STRIDE TO A FENCE WILL TAKE OFF LATE AND TOO CLOSE TO THE FENCE. A HORSE WHO IS ON A LONG STRIDE TO A FENCE WILL TAKE OFF TOO EARLY AND POSSIBLY A LONG WAY FROM THE FENCE. much like Denman on saturday. The instructions say it's the other way around, that is just one personal niggle I have with the game that nobody ever seems to take any notice of. |
