Not just related to NH, but related question re condition. Am I right in thinking that the optimum levels for a horse pre-race are for max red fitness, max red condition/max green condition? If so, I'm having great trouble working out how to get the red condition bar to the max; everything I've tried seems to make the red bar go down, and I rarely get a horse to post with the 2 red bars maxed out (I appreciate the green is like a stamina bar for the season, so unless a horse has prolonged periods of inactivity is likely to deteriorate towards the autumn). Any ideas to do this? As I say, I've tried regular gallops, switching between blue/amber/red training regimes, nothing seems to work.
