Post Had my first horse death!
He was a really promising 2m4f novice whom I tried in the foxhunters. I wish I could look back at the news because I had no idea he'd died until I tried to enter him in the Old Roan. So that's definitely something for SO5, something actually blatantly telling you that one of your horses has died in a fall!

Oh dear!

Didn't you check the race result afterwards, it should have told you in its form line that its kicked it.

Yeah but to be fair, if it had come up on my trainer screen and someone had told me I would have ctrl-alt-deleted that day anyway. I like this particular game to be perfect. I have another game for 'realism'.

ANYWAY to update you all on my horse that passed on, it turns out that the idiot trainer actually retired it along with a load of other horses to add to her game with a schedule for all the horses needing odd or poorly catered for distances 2m2f, 2m3f, 2m4f, 3m handicaps etc. So this horse is in fact safe and sound with a whole group of mares in the transfer pool. He wrote me a postcard which is how I found out, he said he's having a wonderful time, him, another very promising 2m4f colt and another 10 mares. He said he now can't wait to begin his second career!
