Have noticed that my mares offspring seem to get worse the more she foals ...ie the first offspring is a regular group performer and the second a bit worse and the third even worse....is this the same for all mares that only the first offspring is the best so there is no point in using the mare after she has given birth to her first offspring

Four Horsemen - pretty good 14 G1s at 1m. In breeding barn, sire of 3 G1 winning horses
Frankel - good at 2, poor at 3.
Special Forces - very good, 7 G1s at 1m-1m4f, 2nd season sire, already has 3 G1 winning horses
Minnesota - good, 6 G1s at 1m-1m1f. Breeding barn, 1st foal a 2yo Group winner
Zeus - dreadful
Gunga Din - very good, current best 1m1f horse on dirt
Bayonetta - similar ability to Rippersnapper in the league. Multiple G1 winner at 1m4f
Underground Resistence - bad
Okemo - awful

I think the older they get the worse the produce but you get 6 or 7 good years.

Any horse in your breeding barn click on it, should bring up a box with the horse you have selected, in that box in the bottom right hit data screen.

I normally start my horses breeding from the age of 5.

I honestly haven't noticed a decline in quality offspring as mares age, but perhaps I just haven't been looking for it. I retire my mares to breed after their fourth year (so they're first bred as five year olds). Personally I wouldn't leave them until they're ten, because then you only get a few years worth of breeding out of them. Considering some horses die at 16 (maybe earlier?), it doesn't give them much of a chance.
