Can anyone give me a tip on whens the best time to enter a horse for a cup the horse i want to try for a cup has okish form (123112)im only in my first season on jumps.

When you say Cup, do you mean Cheltenham Gold Cup? Melbourne Cup? Caulfield Cup? Bet365 Gold Cup (Whitbread)?

yeah time of season, i was going to put my horses in the up n coming cheltenham gold cup but its my first season and i know i stand know chance.

It shouldn't matter what year you're in you won't know if you have a chance unless you run them. If you think it's got good enough form in appropriate races e.g. graded 3m+ races then enter it. BTW if you have a horse that want 3m I'd think about putting it in the RSA rather than the Gold Cup, it's usually an easier race to win and usually you really need to stay to win the Gold Cup.
