So my game of 38 seasons and over 90 horses crashed on me yesterday. It was the first game i started last year when i purchased so4. I have to admit that i cheated to build up my money by betting on horses that i knew had won (the ctl, alt, del method)...im sure you are familar with it.

So after being a little annoyed and doing a total clean (didnt realise i would lose my graphics and schedule) and spending about 3 hours to get it all back (im not a computer whizz) i decided to start a new game without the cheating. I had written down some flat distance records from my old game before it crashed and used these as a guide to try and find a half decent horse to get going with.

Flogged my three starting horses and after buying a few £5000-£12000 nags with no luck i managed to find a horse that had one a race 3 seconds off the 1m4 distance record i had noted down. A few seconds in listed events and a win in its last run of the season got me a bit of cash but then i blew it buying a hurdler for £30k (turned out to be a nag) and then withdrawing it from a big race at cheltenham and losing the late withdraw fee. When the new flat season came around i entered my original horse in the winter derby which he won and then i could not resist a punt at the dubai world cup as the place money was so good.

I know the dubai races dont have the best quality field but my horse did manage to pass the post in front given me a nice couple of million to get my game started. When i lost my old game i was gutted but now i actually feel glad because this time around ive done it honestly and am enjoying it much more.

I know its only a small achievment to get the game going but it made me smile.

Thanks for taking the time to read and good luck if your having a punt today!

Flat distance records from my original game:

5f 54.21
6f 1.6.76
7f 1.18.61
1m 1.33.37
1m1 1.48.70
1m2 2.1.43
1m3 2.15.58
1m4 2.27.50
1m5 2.40.57
1m6 2.55.64
1m7 3.13.27
2m 3.28.41
2m1 3,48.53
2m2 3.57.15
2m3 4.19.10
2m4 4.32.06

I usually buy a horse if its within 3-5 seconds of these times. They do come up now and again. Have now managed to build up about £4 million buy buying and selling and prize money. Hope this helps

well done on your restart..

sounds like you have it together...

plz signup for the next season which starts in end April/early May

also look at starting a NH stable as it is great fun

but you wont win fortunes with your horses as the PM is crap

but ppl like myself sponsor races

Moores Millions(Myself) National type horses then Ryan,Craig & Myself

will sponsor a hurdle race series next season

so plenty of money to be won usually 2m if u win a MM race

and PM goes down to 5th place so always worth entering

also is a good training ground for potential GN horses

if u r a Flat affionado or a NH one or both

next season will look good anyways
