I had this too recently. I noticed the Blue Riband Trial at Epsom had no entries. I swiftly bought a 3yo with no more than one run (cost £85k) it was duly asked to do the whole race - not walk over. Got the prize money etc. But the horse is a wretch, got injured in that 'race' and haven't been able to get it back on the track!!!

there have been a couple recently in 'real life', although the horses just have to walk a hundred yards or so and pass the post rather than complete the whole course.

Something to change in future of the game.
