 SO5 etc
Hi all,
I've played the game since SO3 but have never really had the success that you have all had.
I tend to play 3-4 seasons expecting a quick result but it never appears to happen that way.
I'd be keen to get involved in the online league on S05 but would obviously need the horses to compete.
I know all the training methods etc, but find it hard to place horses in races? Normally aim for the smallest fields.
Just wondering if anyone has a specific pathway they use when starting a game etc. Hope this is in the correct section and hasn't been posted before.
Cheers Bash

 Re: SO5 etc
It has been asked before. If you scroll through this page and the Online League Discussion page you'll find loads of info about the league and how to create a good team. I don't think racing in game has any effect on how good a horse is in the league. For the league you basically play out of the game by exporting your best horses and trialing them in the race builder against others and looking for the 'target times' that are posted on this forum.
I don't play in the league at all because I enjoy the game too much to suck all the fun out by trying to get a good league team together. Quite a few have said things to the same effect. But like many others I will probably have a go in the first season of the SO5 league where the playing field will be a little more open, it is great fun pitching your best against everyone elses.

 Re: SO5 etc
Another way to get good horses is to find your best horse and retire him/her into breeding bar and breed to the best horse there, i did that to start off and got my first group 1 win with a horse i bred, and ended up going on to win the breeders cup mile twice and the godolphin mile twice and other group wins. its not really as hard as you think, just need to have patience. also look for star 2 year olds in the yearly sales or u just might get a woner 2 yr old in the daily sales.
