You need the fences in the jumping game.

Discovered you need additional field and barn, to enable puting horses out to grass. Any more must haves for simple training?

Training stalls and all-weather gallops should improve your horses to a small degree even if you're simple training, I think. As well as what Pjr said about the swimming pool (although I never buy the swimming pool because in previous versions it used to make your sprinters want longer distances, etc. Could be very annoying, but I don't know if it still does that?)

I'm lazy!!.... I have simple training and all the add-ons as well as a maxed out 100 capacity!.... I'm so lazy and tight i put my apprentice Nicole Nordblad on all my horses (except when am unable to select her i just use random jocks or when horses come with entries!) I'm so so lazy i dont even give her instructions!! I must be the laziest trainer on here!.... I was still champ trainer in my first season thanks to a lucky buy that won the derby! (no cheating, made cash thru gambling) and i also bought a horse rated 88 for 150k and he is now rated 126!

You are not the only one. Me too, always let the jockey decide which tactics to use.

Hopefully Mark might confirm one way or another at some point, would be nice to know for sure.

And no problem, happy to share :) If you get any decent ones you're willing to upload yourself, feel free to add them to the exchange thread!

Have now been top flat trainer for 4 seasons, with additional field and barn for dumping horses till end of season, breeding facilities and extra stables. Nothing else needed on easy training. 2Yr olds get 4/5 races at 5/6 furlongs then put out to grass. Hope this helps someone. I repeat , nothing else needed, not even training track . Of cause you need to find good horses.
