Some say the guineas is the best derby trial

Neither run at Chester though! I have heard some say the Derby in June is the best one...

the Guineas can be a good trial but not many can compete at a mile and then stay 1m4

camelot and sea the stars apart how many derby winners come out of the guineas im not sure

the dante and derristown are the best trials IMO

Used to live in Chester years ago, and went to the May meeting every year - fantastic racing spectacle. And yes, the vase is the Derby trial.

The Vase is one of the trials but the Dante is main trial.

The 1000 Guineas is a stepping stone to the derby but I wouldn't call it a trial.

Don't know what racing you've been watching if the 1000 guineas is a (regular) stepping stone to the derby!

Camelot, Sea the stars, new approach, sir Percy, hawk wing, golan all ran well in the guineas and subsequently ran well in the derby in just the last 10 years.

Strictly US game here. From 5 to 1-4 my times are about 1 to 2 seconds off. BUT... from 1-6 to 2 ...whoa Nelly!

1-6 == +11 seconds

1-7 == +9 seconds
