Post Mac user wanting to use mods
Hi lads,

recently got a macbook, and wanted to use the schedules created by pjrhodes. When giving it a go, i failed and can't seem to work it out, or find the answer on any old forum queries.

Any one know which folders to attach his two downloads to?

Help appreciated,

Jack

HI,

The library folder is hidden on a mac, which is why you are having trouble finding it :D

use the Finder's Go->Go To Folder… menu and paste in "~/Library/Containers"

You will then find the folders you're looking for.

Thanks for the help! Just used it and added the files to where pjr says too....Now when i set up a game using his schedule it just closes the game...
hmm confusing haha!

Anyone else any ideas?

I guessed i needed to unzip the files or something but as I'm new to macbook I'm not sure if this is necessary?

yep regardless of operating systems you will need to unzip files to use in the game, pauls scheds don't come zipped so you just shove them in, i could be wrong but i think you can't use mods created for the windows versions on mac, you might tho im not too sure.

Better late than never... This may help someone else wanting to mod on a Mac. The files appear to be located in the following directory:

/Applications/Starters Orders 5.app/Contents/Resources

You'll find the necessary subdirectories:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 3725 Jun 30 12:04 MainMenu.nib
drwxr-xr-x 25 root wheel 850 Apr 8 2013 data
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 329 Jun 30 12:04 english.txt
drwxr-xr-x 9 root wheel 306 Apr 8 2013 fonts
drwxr-xr-x 26 root wheel 884 Apr 8 2013 gfx
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 2234068 Apr 8 2013 icon.icns
drwxr-xr-x 40 root wheel 1360 Apr 8 2013 sfx

Modifying these directories with the supplied files should do the trick.
