Post subject:  Bobsworth Retro schedule

Hi all

Last year, I compiled a UK-based schedule that features the British and some Irish and French racecards as they stood during the 1980s. Here are the links you will need:

Retro schedule itself - http://www.mediafire.com/file/ne5pv3zt8 ... hedule.rar

Retro racecourses - http://www.mediafire.com/file/0kmyk68wt ... hedule.rar

3D Silks (race video) - http://www.mediafire.com/file/8c44e2pkc ... _Silks.rar

GFX silks (racecards) - http://www.mediafire.com/file/h72yuzap1 ... _silks.rar

MODS summary again so you can see what is in the retro schedule - http://www.mediafire.com/file/68uv0rfxs ... ummary.doc

NB the schedule can run on top of the default schedule... does not require my bobsworth 2017 schedule. However it does require my course pack because it still makes use of Goodwood flatturfs 2 and 3, Curragh flatturf2 etc. It also requires my silks pack as it includes many of the colours in common usage at the time. You will find all these in https://www.mediafire.com/folder/11flup ... /Documents

Now, I am compiling a horse list so the schedule can feature some old names i.e. Ardross, Silver Buck and Chaplins Club to name a few. However, I can't get those horses to map with the correct colours (I tried to list them in the colts.dat file against the owner's colour number - like you can do with the trainers and owners - but it didn't work. So I don't think you'll be seeing them appear in the kind of races you remember them in). This will take a bit more time and may not come out until after SO7 has been released. STRAW POLL - Do you want me to include these old horses still?

A big thankyou to the Glasgow Herald who kindly uploaded their newspapers to Google News from the 1800s to 1990. I could explore the 1980s racing pages and, hopefully, bring the decade back to life here. And to the Irish Field which still has results from the early 1990s so I could map out the old Phoenix Park cards.
