Yes you can put them in there, it shouldn't cause problems as they only affect the look of the game.
Where have you put them as when I’m using the mod it has been freezing and crashing on the building form page not every time though. I think it may have something to do with were I’ve put the files.
I re-downloaded the files to help with this issue, I screenshotted along the way for each step:
1 - I downloaded the three files on the main page:
https://i.gyazo.com/f24f935c6b89bc5537a ... 08266b.png2 - Each file unzipped:
https://i.gyazo.com/19b299b419c95465f0a ... 655bee.png,
https://i.gyazo.com/1e6c799b125798152fa ... 306bbf.png,
https://i.gyazo.com/c53636d5fbdc700f4cd ... 36d88c.png3 - I merged folders of the same name and overwrite them when asked, in the release order (Data, then Course, then the 4.0.1 Patch). That left me with:
https://i.gyazo.com/bd83d78e503b10fd13e ... 0cf080.png4 - The "entities" folder goes inside the "3D" folder, so I them move that in there for the final set of folders that are now ready to install.
5 - Navigate to your install folder (for me it's:
https://i.gyazo.com/79b070daea3ff179172 ... c2f397.png), and you'll find the three folders we'll put stuff in.
6 - The downloaded "3D" folder is merged with the one in the above picture (step 5), the downloaded "gfx" folder is merged in the same way, and the special one is the "db" folder so let's stick that in it's own step.
7 - In the step 5 screenshot we see the "mods" folder, so we navigate into that and can see some folders:
https://i.gyazo.com/812709087ffcba5a981 ... 4b0b06.png. The first one is created by the game, as is the "readme.txt", however the third folder ("StartIt") is one I created myself to house the modded files.
8 - Finally we move the "db" into that created "StartIt" folder:
https://i.gyazo.com/a9c4e08b50a5611c17d ... 807732.png9 - Once we go into the game you should see the folder you created under the "Available user mods" dropdown menu as we see in this screenshot:
https://i.gyazo.com/beac4a94cb7ebd993e7 ... d7aecc.png. You need to select the correct mods folder not only when creating the game, but also each time you load that save.
This should hopefully solve any issues or confusions over the process, and I might make a new install video for MJ to replace the other one for more clarity since the original one I was doing as I first installed the mod and now know parts of that process were flawed. Let me know if anything else is unclear.
Cheers,
Chris
