First up, brilliant game!!!

Can anyone explain how to put jockey pictures into the game so you see them when they give information after races?

Simple instructions please lol!

There is a link in the SO3 forums for jockey/trainer pics. They simply go into your program files\starters orders 4\ data\#of game version\jockeys and another directory for trainers. # is 1 for UK 2 for US 3 for AUS and 4 for IRE. Hope that helps. Just doing this myself.

I installed them correctly and they don't seem to work. Has anybody else installed the pictures?

Managed to change and update the pictures on th uk tipsters screen but no luck with jockey or trainers. Anyone know if something different needs to be done?

No luck here either. I can get a jockey and trainer picture up but only on the generic jockey/trainer pictures. So, all the jockeys look the same and the trainers look identical too. It is funny though seeing Hayley Turner looking like Jimmy Fortune.

I've just about finished the horses pictures now, and have done most of the jockeys and trainers. The portrait files don't seem to like being replaced with previous picture sets so the only way I have been able to get it to work is to open the new portraits one by one and paste what I want over the top, then save. Works fine but takes a while.
I can't figure out how to add a screen shot to this reply or I would be able to illustrate it better.

I cant work this out, there are no files in the jockey folder apart from the read me

i put a picture in of the right size gave it the jockeys name and it doesnt appear in the game please any ideas?

I'm completely new to Starters Orders (and I love it!). So far I have been updating the Australian Jockeys.

I've been downloading a picture and then editing it in Photoshop to 80x100 and saving as a JPG.

I then insert the jockey pictures into:

Program Files/Starters Orders/gfx/portraits/3

and then paste the picture in exactly as the name says. B Shinn for Blake Shinn for example.

The exact same process for Trainers.

I'm actually trying to get as many Australian ones done as possible. Have done about 20 jocks and trainers.

For the tipsters just ensure that the image is saved as a .bmp file

Theres no reason why they shouldnt, aslongs the names are the same as they are in the text file which i fink they should be, they might new jockeys so you will have to download more if there is.
