There are 16076 names in the horse database, which I am currently editing.

I know that more names wont mean more horses in the game, but what happens if I enter more (or even less) horse names? Will it cause the game to crash? Do I need EXACTLY 16076 for the game to work properly?

Anyone?

To be honest, I've never tried it. I'm pretty sure you can't add extra horses (otherwise Mark would have added extra ones, as one of the things that people always mention is that horse names repeat quite often), but it might be possible to use fewer names.

I've been playing a game with over that number (by like 100 something) and it has been running strong for 8 seasons so far.

I've edited the horses database myself gs63 and you need to have 16076 in the game otherwise it does crash,I've tried it. Good luck its a long tedious job,completed mine got rid of the duplicates took me 9 weeks.

Exactly my understanding Taurus, if you have over 16076 in the database, I'd think it would cause the game to crash too.

That really odd that it would cause some people games to crash but not mine. I think that if you dont change the number on the top but you add more horse names then it would be fine... but im not sure why mine works?

That is strange mjtags,,what is the number at the top of the page in the data file,as to my knowledge if you put less or more than 16076 names in the game it crashes. Ive edited the horses data file and it did it every time if i didnt have the right amount in.
