Sorry if this has already been covered but i wanted to be able to have ruby Walsh as my stable jockey. Does anyone know how to do it?.
I've tried changing the data with notepad but its still the same in the game?.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I just had to start a new game for the changes to take effect.

Yep altering data files will always need a new game before they show, unless we use a live editor which i don't think one exists for the so series.

sorry, how do you change the retainers? I would love to have william buick or ryan moore as my stable jockey

Go into trainer files, find the trainer who has Buick or moore as their stable jockey, remove the jockeys name, leave blank or replace with a 0, I'm not sure, save file, start a new game, go into retained jockeys, hire chosen jockey.

i noticed ruby walsh was missing in the irish jump jockeys list.
but he is found in the uk jumps jockey still under retained by Paul Nichols.

can anybody update ruby to be retained by w mullins in ireland only now?

i tried copy pasting his pic to the irish jockeys but i dont know how or where the jockey names lists are for countries to copy him into ireland jump jockeys

Copy Ruby Walsh name from Uk Jockey List and paste it into the Irish Jockey List make sure your Ruby Walsh photo is named R Walsh and you copy the R Walsh 10,2 From the Uk jockey list
you will find the UK Jockey by clicking Computer then click into Local disk C then into Program Files (x86) then Starters Orders 5 then Data then Folder 1 here is where all your Uk stuff is click into the Jockey File scroll down to NH Jockeys and find R Walsh 10,2 then click back out and go into Folder 4 this is where the irish data kept go into the jockey list Scroll down to NH jockeys make a space and paste the copied file in.
