nice one craigibhoy im just finishing my second 16076 horse database with my own names hopfully leading upto at least 25000 for s06. your horse names should have no more than 18 letters,including spaces in their names.

Hours and Hours of name writing yeah . In this country there is a limit to 18 characters including spaces when nameing horses.

Yep 18 characters max in game, you can go over that, but then some of the screens start to get messed up.

Fair play craig, good work, personally I prefer to name horses on my list with my own made-up names, not real ones. Just looks a little weird when you see Frankel winning the Grand National etc....

Didn't think anyone would have downloaded this but thanks who did i decided to to not do it anymore...

But don't worry ive came up with a better idea so im gona start work on my new idea in around 1 hour

So ive stopped what i was doing simply because horses like STA, Camelot etc were appearing jumps etc which of course is weird so i came up with an idea create 2 horse files one for just all flat horses and one for all jumps, so i started doing jumps first...

Now it might be a little hard work of course because if we copy the 2 file over they will just replace one another so best bet would be create to folders on desktop or mydocuments called flat and jumps and when you want to play lets say flat move the horses from flat to so5 folder and if u wan to play jumps copy the flat horse file back into your flat folder vice versa, i know its hard work but its i can do as theres no other way in so5....

Anyway here is the jumps file its not fully complete and no where near but its a start ill work on it everyday, most are all real horses but i do make the odd one up on the odd occasion..

One more thing pleae back up your existing horses file so u can copy it back in when u want to play flat unless of course u want to play flat with the jump horses . you never know sprinter sacre might make a good miler haha

I'm not 100% certain, but I think that once you start a new game, it will use the list that was in place at the time. If you start another new game with a new horse list, then that game will use your 2nd horse list, and you can then switch between saved games with the 2 different lists in place.

Of course, I could be wrong.......

Copy it into your SO5/data/1 folder.

1 is for the UK, if you are playing in a different country, just substitute the appropriate number instead.

Back up your horses.dat file before you do this, as this file will overwrite it.
