Re: Start It 2.25 Courses
So these classic courses are looking pretty awesome! Love racing with the flamingos in the infield at Hialeah and 1970s Meadowlands with Giants Stadium in the background is pretty sweet! Atlantic City looks pretty awesome too (only doing one as no real changes were made to the track from the 70s til now, but the one I made reflects more of the 1970s aspects of the track than its current condition). Next up is Lethbridge, Marquis, and Wyoming. I am also going to do 1950s Aqueduct, Jamaica Park, and Garden State Park,. Unless anyone else has any courses they would like to see done (for classic tracks, I can go as far back as the 50s. Any track that closed after the 50s won't be realistic), I will release this pack then.

Re: Start It 2.25 Courses
What links do I need to download to have all the courses and races. I see the base mods, 2.201 data and courses, but there are a bunch of updates, 2.210 thru 2.250. Do I need to download those also. I am unable to view the races, but maybe if I do this mod right, I might be ok as it worked for me when game was in beta. Please advise. Thanks

Thanks In order to have all the courses, you need to download 2.201 data and courses, as well as 2.210 through 2.250. This will give you a complete game. The game should still be playable with just 2.201 tho.

Re: Start It 2.24 (Quarter Horse Schedule Now Available)
I am sorry for the nube question, are there more specific instructions on how to install this? mjtags11 wrote: Quarter Horse Schedule:LINK: http://www.mediafire.com/download/d6dofhi2hvz7u1m/QH_Schedule_and_TB_Update.zipRemove the _QH tag on the schedule, showcase, courses, trainer, jockey, and owner files to use. The trial system may not fully work, but it gives realism to the schedule. Enjoy! Also included is the update to the Thoroughbred Schedule. Remove the _TB tag to use. EDIT: Change the Adequan Cal Regional Trials in the showcase file to this: 5.8,L,3 5000,F10 Los Alamitos:cc_dirt1 Adequan Cal Regional Trials August EDIT: Change the last line of the trainers.dat file from 50. to 50, Quarter Horse Challenge:2YO Challenge: -Ruidoso Futurity (and Trial) -Rainbow Futurity (and Trial) -All American Futurity (and Trial) -Golden State Million Futurity (and Trial) -Los Al Two Million Futurity (and Trial) 3YO Challenge: -Ruidoso Derby (and Trial) -Rainbow Derby (and Trial) -All American Derby (and Trial) -Los Al Super Derby (and Trial) -Champion of Champions [must place 1st or 2nd in Trial to count]

Re: Start It 2.26
Tonicfan, Steps to downloading the QH schedule: 1) Download zip from mediafire 2) Open zip and drop all files into data>2 3) Back up your data>2 folder before proceeding. 4) You will see files that have a _QH at the end. Those are the Quarter Horse game files. 5) Delete these files _courses, _jockeys, _owners, _sched_f, _showc_f, and _trainers (or just change their names). These are the thoroughbred files that aren't from the QH game. 6) Now, right-click and rename all of the files that have _QH on the end to remove the _QH (i.e. _courses_QH goes to _courses). 7) Now you should be all ready to play!
You may need to make the changes listed in the original QH post to the files (not sure if I updated them in the zip). For those, just open the _showc_f_QH file (for the Adequan Cal Regional Trials) in notepad and find that entry in the file. Edit it to match the one listed in the post. As for the trainer change, open _trainers_QH in notepad and scroll to the bottom where you will find the number. Just make the one minor change. If you have any other questions, feel free to post.

Re: Start It 2.26
Ok gotcha..
So If I want to play thoroughbred separately I should install another copy of SO6 in another folder so that I can play QH separate from TB? Cuz I see that the courses file will be replaced where there are TB courses in it etc.
Thanks

Re: Start It 2.26
You don't need to install the game twice, just have two data>2 folders, one for TB and one for QH. The active one would be named 2 and the other would be something else (like 2_QH). Then just change the names and you can play the other one. Then files intact and both playable.

Re: Start It 2.26
So i was using your mod before. Then i noticed the game has an update so i updated the game. I thought i'd download your recent updates but now when i start the game theres only 2 showcase races on my editior schedule, also theres like only 10 available. When i go to the schedule in the contents it looks like theyre all there just not showing up in game. Another strange thing is it says the schedule is locked in the contents and won't allow me to make any changes.
Looking for some ideas here cause im clueless on what's going on here.
Thanks

Re: Start It 2.26
I don't know if this is what is causing it, but I had this problem with Meydan. Go to courses folder and make sure that when you click into each folder, the track file (the data file) has the same name.

Thanks You do not need to reinstall. Updates only affect the data folder and sometimes other files that can be modded (check the Marks update change log for info). You only need to backup the data folder before updating. Then just put it back in and good to go.
