Horse portraits

I don't like the horse portraits, will there be a mod who changes the horse portraits to real pictures?

I am using the Dukes horse portraits which are downloadable from this site. However I believe they are for previous versions such as SO5. Reason I say this is because in my game Desert Orchid appears as a bay rather than a grey. So I dont think its meant for SO6 although it doesnt crash the game. If you can live with certain horses not being their correct colour then thats fine. The images are more life like than the default SO6 ones. :)

have you noticed whether all the pics are used or is it just the first 8 (as this is the original number in s06). An easy way to check is to see if there are any greys at all in your game.

I think you misunderstand me, in the 3D race Dessie is a grey, its his portrait that appears as a bay. Sorry for any confusion.

Edit ** Yes I see what you mean, tbh I have reverted back to the default. I am only using 1 mod atm which is ubar02's Correct Names and Portraits. This is because I am having issues atm with autorunning the default UK combined flat/jumps schedule for a complete season. It seems to CTD on me for some reason. All other default schedules work except this one. Anyway that is another issue. I think until some mods which are dedicated for SO6 only come out Ill just stick to the default for now.

I can confirm only 8 pics get replaced - I have selected 8 from Dukes file and replaced the eight originals (bay replaced with bay/ grey with grey) and it works. However ONLY 8 possible horse pics is VERY limited - why would Mark do that?

I am sure as time goes by like with SO5 ( which Ive never played so cant really comment ) that folk will be releasing various mods to substitute the defaults with. Like Ive said I shall be using the default set for now.
