In an effort to come up with a skin that is less bright I have made the Green and Brown Skin with a few extra manipulations to some buttons and bars. This was done using the 1280 x 720 windowed settings with table table transparency set to Less (dark). How it appears on other settings I do not know. Looks better when using a darker user background. Looks better in game than these screenshots show. The race screen where you watch the races was left untouched if you are wondering.

Stable home screen with an added grey box to help see writing at top against the wood grain title bar. The globe in upper left was made smaller to keep from always clicking it when you try to hit the training button. Question mark above it made smaller too. The Force Farm logo in stables screen is not included - just my own little touch up.

Detailed horse screen. Features a change in presentation of the horse stats bars. I added a "white zone" at the end of the bar area as sort of a upper percentile marker to help identify better horses ~ especially useful for the potential bar to help quickly weed out newcomers who may not meet your standards. The maturity rate bar acted up on editing and I couldn't get it right again or maybe that is right? Be aware of that. I don't mind because I don't pay attention to the maturity rate bar.

The stats bars to the left were altered to make them clearer which is what I prefer and the font for "Fitt, Cond, etc" was changed to make it crisper too. The blue box link to the main stats page was shrunk in size so the "FITT" bar could be seen completely.



Instructions...

Make a copy of your original game folders/files if you haven't already for safe keeping so you can go back to before if you don't like this skin. Specifically for this download you can just make a copy of your "gfx" folder.

Extract contents to desktop or wherever you choose

Copy and paste the "gfx" folder to ~ Program Files (86) > Starters Orders 6

Accept all overwrite requests.

Download Instructions...

Have a backup copy of the original gfx folder if you don't already.

Download zip file.
Extract contents of zip file to desktop or place of your choosing.
You should see a folder named "Inc. Bar Redesign". Inside this folder are two folders - "Horse Stats Bar" and "Main Parameter Box". Inside both of these is a folder named "misc". You can use one or both of the misc. folders if you want.

Copy and paste the "misc" folder to ~ Program Files > Starters Orders 6 > gfx

Accept all overwrite requests.
