Thought I'd post this here - there is a horse racing anime featuring "horse girls" named after real Japanese champion race horses. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encycl ... p?id=20598 There are many homages to their real life counterparts, such as Special Week (main character) having two moms after her first mom died (in real life Special Week's dam died after giving birth and he was taken care of by stable hands), that Symboli Rudolf is a champion race girl (the character won the Triple Crown life real life counterpart and her assistant is Tokai Teio who aspires to be like her, the real life one was SR's offspring) and Gold Ship is shown being very inconsistent and erratic, playing games instead of training and then deciding to do something completely different on a whim, among many others. Thought I'd share! |
