Using horse racing as it's background. Starts in january, lots of stars in it. Anyone plan on watching it?

Been waiting this for over a year now, ever since it was first proposed. Plus its got Michael Mann back doing a tv series again.

Can't wait for it.

first 2 episodes very good, impressive stuff

2 horses were killed during filming of luck
animal wlefare were involved in an investigation not sure what the result was

Great show, only thing I don't like are the race scenes. The other horses are clearly being pulled back when the feature horse is being driven out. Its the main downfall with every horse racing film. You would think that they would run slow horses against actual race horses so it would look like the horses are actually winning the race on merit with all the other jockeys ridding out finishes on there horses instead of pulling them back. I was a jockey before and I've also gone to Film school so its very off putting when I see it.

Just watched Epsiode 5 and it is very poor filming, in the final straight a side view shows the other jockey nearly standing in the stirrups pulling back, even so a very good programme by the looks of it

have sky+ the first 2 parts looking forward to watching

I saw that too, thats what I was talking about above. Surely Gary Stevens who was a jockey would know that its not very realistic for viewers to pull the other horses back on camera so the feature horse can win etc.

how come you guys are on part 5 and sky are on part 2

I will watch the shows that I have recorded so far that is terrible news about the horses, Cheltenham is having a few horse deaths at the moment as well..upto 5 now, terrible!!
