France v England
Any thoughts on Englands performance?
Thought they done well myself, looked solid and organised. When keeping it tight at the back and with a keeper like we got could be difficult for teams to beat us. Not getting carried away just thought for the first time in a while everyone out there seemed to know what there job was.

It was the best we could of hoped for, never thought we were going to beat them to be honest.

Re: France v England
I'm irish so I can give an unbiased opinion, I thought ye played ok but there was not much movement or creativity so ye could struggle to score goals, but rooney could fix this. Defended well and will be hard to break down on a positive note

Good to see a blend of youngsters and old bloods in the team. Thought Welbeck played well and i am not his biggest fan.

Re: France v England
England did as well as our limited team could do We don't make enough chances to win a game easily Still too many prima donna's Ashley Young etc Glen johnson must be one of the worst defending right backs in the tournament We will get stuffed as soon as we meet a decent side or even a moderate team that performs well on the day, both Sweden and Ukraine can beat us Ian

Re: France v England
I hope we all by now have realistic expectations, yes we can beat sweden and Ukraine, the reverse is also true. If we reach the quarters we've done ok, then anything can happen, but, if we come up against one of the big boys and they're on form, we probably lose. this is tournament football, and, Denmark and greece have both previously shown that the best team doesn't always win. Chelsea showed that too in the Champions League. i for one shall enjoy the journey and hope it lasts longer than usual. PS. I am not a scot commiting treason, I am a Yorkshireman living in Scotland

Re: France v England
I think I am being realistic The press will build us if we beat Sweden just for the team to let us down We have to be rid of the players who only perform one good game in four and are deemed by the press as world class eg Ashley Young again, Walcott (1 in 10), Parker (does he ever pass to an England player that is more than 5 yards away) Terry (finished, only his big-headedness keeps him going ) Ashley Cole (1 in 2 admittedly playing better than usual), Gerrard (not fit and best days behind him) I am a fervent England fan but hate the attitude of most of the players whose over-rated opinion of themselves is the biggest problem for every manager Good luck to Roy Hodgson hope he puts his foot down and clears out the deadwood after this tournament Ian

Re: France v England
Ashley Young is absolutely nowhere near international class, he needs to be dumped, and quick.
