Anyone watch it? anyone care for it? anyone care to make some predictions?

Personally I love it and think I'm in for a real long July as I know I'll have to watch every stage and cheering on my multi!

Yeah, I'll be watching it... cheering for Bradley Wiggins to become the first ever British winner of the race :)

I watch every stage live on Eurosport. Bradley Wiggins has the best chance

to win since Stephen Roche won for Ireland in 1987.

Indeed Wiggins is a super chance to this year, I've been watching all year and can't look past him.

My predictions:
Winner: Wiggins
Second: Evans
Third: Menchov/ Nibali
White Jersey: Steven Kruijswijk
Red: Peter Sagen

Haha if only but not this year.

His lead out train consists of Boasson Hagen. He'll be a domistique for Wiggins and rarely be in a position to challenge as they will not chase a breakaway group unless he wheel hogs on someone

Peter Sagen from Liquigas is a real danger, as is Goss, Kittel and the Belarusian from FDJ.

Cavendish is going into the race 4kg lighter than usual, which will help with his stamina, but slightly reduce his speed. I think he will still contest sprints, and might even be in a better position to occasionally challenge for sprints on some of the hillier stages, but he is unlikely to be winning as many stages as in previous years, or winning the green jersey. As well as Boasson Hagen, they will also have Eisel and Siutsou to lead Cavendish in sprints. They won't need to use him too much as a domestique for Wiggins, as they already have Froome, Rogers, Porte, Siutsou and Knees for that. Cavendish's main individual aim this year is the Olympic road race.

Ah for sure, but I can't see Sky doing what they did in the Giro and put men on the front and do the chasing but if its there for Cav, he'll take erm. For those hillier stages I'd have thought EBH would be their man but again, I'm just not too sure that stage wins for either man are the priority.

I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls out before some of the high mountain stages near the end of the Tour. By that time he could well have picked up a few more stage wins, and will be happy with that. The Olympic road race is obviously a far bigger priority than the green jersey this year.

I have a feeling that Cav will do the first week then withdraw, he have 5 stages that are flat to contest then it starts to get lumpy. BTW get on Spartacus tonight for the prologue!

The olympic road race is on the first morning of the games,so there is

no way Cav will complete the tour.

In an interview about 6 months ago Cavendish said " The first medal awarded will be the cycling and l will 110% concentrated on getting GBR to the best start in the medal haul" so l would say he may push for a stage or 2 but will be literally using the tour as a warm up
