Re: india vs england
Agreed, and thoroughly deserved to get his England contract.

Re: Cricket discussion
Can't disagree with that. We should stuff them in the tests.

Re: Cricket discussion
I was always one of the people who thought that it wouldn't be that easy in NZ I backed England to win 1-0 We are, as always happens now, undercooked in test matches Why do we play 50 over games as warm ups as opposed to the 3 or 4 day games We leave ourselves short like we did in India 4 months ago and Australia in the past We will just have to bat for two days to get the practice in and save the game Ian

Re: Cricket discussion
This is an England team that is more than capable of turning things around on a regular basis, much more resilient than previous test sides. Batting for 2 days to salvage a draw isn't beyond them.

Re: Cricket discussion
I have no doubt that this team can bat out a draw I just wish they could have been more prepared What happened to the warm up games against the provinces Money spinning ODI's get the nod all the time, a sad consequence of the times

Re: Cricket discussion
Great fight back by Cook and Compton. Shame Cook went ten minutes before the close of play otherwise it would have been the perfect day. Be interesting to see how many Finn can make on this pitch after being in as night watchman.

Re: Cricket discussion
Today's batting performance will hopefully kick start the test series for England but still glad to have backed 1-0 to England
