I think we under-estimated the NZ team in the first test, and were definitely under-cooked.
But you can't change the weather and the flatter than flat tracks. I'm still confident of a 1-0 series win

I think you have a good chance of that 1-0 now mate.

Desperate day flat as a pancake you cant blame the Black Caps chasing a drawn series

this is a 600 run 1st inns pitch

Draw

There is an old saying, When winning the toss
If the pitch is good..... bat
If you are undecided....think about it ........then bat

We would have put on at least 600 on that pitch, probably quicker than NZ
Whether the pitch is getting better or not, the team batting 2nd will always be under pressure to catch up.
So we have missed a trick.
Cook is only learning, so I can't be too hard on him.
The blame is the Drop-in pitches which are great tracks for ODI's but will never give a result in a test match
Get back to natural pitches.

Yes, poor decision by Cook to put NZ in on that pitch. We should've batted first, put 600 on the board and pressed hard for them to follow on.

Haven't had a bet mate. Hard game to predict and Cook should never have put the kiwis in to bat.
